Types Of Musical Instruments

This instrument is an instrument that created or modified for the purpose of producing music. In principle, anything that produces sound, and in certain ways can be arranged by the musicians, can be called as a musical instrument.   • Idiofon, is a musical instrument sound sources originating from basic ingredients. Example: kolintang, drums, bongo, kabasa, angklung
  • Aerofon, is a musical instrument sound source from the blast of air in the cavity. Example: flute, trumpet, harmonica, trombone.
  • Kordofon, is a musical instrument sound source comes from the strings. Example: bass, guitar, violin, guitar, sitar, piano, harp
  • Membranofon, is a musical instrument sound source from the membrane or membranes. For example: drums, drum, drums, tam-tam, tambourine

  • Wind instruments produce sound when a column of air in it vibrated. Low high-frequency tone is determined by the resulting wave associated with air column length and shape instruments, while the timbre is affected by basic materials, construction tools and how to produce it. Examples of this instrument is the trumpet and flute.
  • Percussion instruments produce sound when struck or beaten. Percussion instruments are divided into two namely pitched and not suggestive.   • Stringed instrument produces sounds when the strings swiped. As with stringed musical instrument, high and low tones of long and short hanging strings.
